By the end of the module, you will have the knowledge and skills needed to ensure that your Big Data programme can be effective, compliant and successful.

Course Content

The Big Data and Data Analytics module covers the following content:

  • Big Data concepts, ideas and processes
  • Tools used in Big Data operations (hands on practical experience)
  • Big Data case studies and worked examples
  • Data modelling
  • Statistical tools and methods
  • Legal, compliance and other implications of Big Data, and Data Protection legislation
  • Use of cloud resources, outsourcing and off-shoring
