The Big Data and Data Analytics module covers the following content:

  • Big Data concepts, ideas and processes
  • Tools used in Big Data operations (hands on practical experience)
  • Big Data case studies and worked examples
  • Data modelling
  • Statistical tools and methods
  • Legal, compliance and other implications of Big Data, and Data Protection legislation
  • Use of cloud resources, outsourcing and off-shoring
